If Tomorrow Never Comes

AMMAH

It's the little things that I'll always remember,
How she would wake me up in the morning,
The hug and a kiss at night,
How she'd console me when I had a fright,
She'd always make everything allright.

Always here to greet me when I came home,
Always making sure that I was never alone,
Always here to listen, to lend an ear,
Always knowing what to say, to chase away the fear.

Making sure that I was never hungry,
Making sure I had enough money,
Making sure my clothes and books were prepared,
Being a buffer when dad got mad.

Taking me for movies right after school,
Never making me feel like a fool,
Supporting me even when things were bad,
Cheering me up when I was feeling sad.

Leaving me alone, when I needed that the most,
To my friends she was always the greatest hosts,
Giving me ideas when I drew a blank,
Ensuring I never needed money from the bank.

The curry I loved which she'd always make,
Also the "Tempe" which I still hate,
She taught me how to make pizza too,
In fact, she taught me almost everything I knew.

Still, it's the little things I remember,
Her beautiful smile and warm hug,
And her joyous carefree laughter,
How she hated cat's and bugs.

So plain a person and yet to great,
The best mom God could ever create,
She was all best- as teacher, friend and mother,
And with her too, God gave me the best Father...

But it's the little things which I'll always remember,
Of a person I will never forget,
And I will love my mother forever,
The Angel on Earth, God made.

FRIENDS AFAR

Send me a line
When you have the time
Tell me that you are fine
Just to ease my mind.

Tell me of your tales
Of your good and bad days
Share your life with me
With that I will be happy.

Just always stay my friend
Just don't ever let it end
For to me, there's nothing more true
Than how I do truly treasure you.

INDIVIDUALITY

Like being not white, not black, nor gray,
Like no color so generally known,
I am just myself... My own,
Thus in being so... I am unaccepted.

No one can comprehend this or me,
They cannot care a non-conformist you see,
You have to be a replica of someone else at least,
Fir in total uniqueness or individuality general acceptance cease.

The way this world is turned by man,
Does make me so very ill,
They are afraid of what they cannot understand,
They are made so, so weak.

I am drowning in this multi-uniformed world,
Forced to wear a mask which makes my skin crawl,
I just want to be left in solitude,
I cannot stand their strayed attitude.

And they call themselves individuals,
They are just mirrors of someone else in the world,
So blinded their afraid to accept or even see,
That I'm just myself and they are stifling me.

EVEN IN...

Even in my silence,
Know that I think of you,
Know that I miss you,
Know that I'll always care for you...
Even in your silence,
I know that you're out there,
I know that you're still my friend here,
I know that I'll always feel you dear...

Even in my absence,
Know that as long as I can, I'll return,
Know that you can contact me and I'll come,
Know that I'm here for you as long the as the life in my burns...

But in your absence,
I sometimes fear for you,
Wondering how you're doing,
Wondering when you'll be returning...
Mainly, feeling how much I miss you.

Even when you were angry with me,
I could not want to hate you,
Because I knew you didn't mean it,
At least not with a heart of malice,
I pray you'll never feel that way towards me.

Even when I seem angry with you,
I'm really not,
Perhaps I'm fearful and frustrated,
I just want you to be happy you see,
That's all I ask of you, for me...
For that will give me a reason to smile,
It would make my day a little more worth it.

And one day...
Even if we perhaps truly go on own separate ways,
To not be in touch at all anymore,
In memory, I will not let you go...
You'll always be a precious part of my life,
You'll always be the uniquely dear monkey light...

WHERE ARE YOU

Don't go away without saying goodbye,
For I don't know when you're soul will fly,
But I feel my heart painful hard
Each time I remember that you may depart.

To think that I may never know,
That you'll just so silent go,
Slip away into the everlasting dream
Without a word, quiet, unseen,
Would anyone eventually tell me?
Does anyone know how much you mean to me?
I've told you before, do you believe me?
You're important to me, don't you see?

Sometimes my heart beat slows to a crawl,
Thinking about you as I stare blankly at the wall,
There's a hollow in here,
Otherwise it's only filled with fear...
I know when I lose you,
Your suffering will end too...
I'm just too attached.
And I just love you.

Where are you?
Where are you?
Oh how much I miss you.

O'HERMIT

And God was so kind
when He allowed us to meet
It seemed to unlikely then
Considering who was the friend
That had brought us together
Now you're akin to being like a father
Whom I love and respect as I do my own
And I feel proud that you too
see me as a daughter
You've enriched my life more than you know.
Your wisdom
Your humor
Your wit
Your ability to be straightforward
Yet utterly confusing
You are a delight
You are a star so bright
You shine and fill me with light
You've taught me to see my own.

And I thank God each day
For bringing you my way
For you've been a blessing to me
That is you, oh wise hermit.

IF TOMORROW NEVER COMES

If tomorrow never comes...
For we know not for sure what may happen
Within the next minute, hour or day...
If tomorrow never comes,
Let me tell you today,
Of how much I love you,
How much you mean to me,
How much you've done to make me happy,
Just by being you,
Just by being in my life,
Life's been more blessed, because it's touched by you.

If tomorrow never comes,
Let me hug you one more time,
So that you know you're dear to this heart of mine,
And that you're always loved,
That you're never alone,
That you're never unappreciated,
Because you're a part of my heart.

If tomorrow never comes,
Let me see your smile,
And may know I smile for you,
Because you've been God's Angel to me so true,
My worlds been a more beautiful place with you.

If tomorrow never comes,
Let me now say one last prayer,
That you will have a good future,
And that God looks after your,
Guarding, guiding, lifting you,
When times are harsh, and you feel you can't go on,
May He hold you, making you stand, walk and be strong.

If tomorrow never comes,
Know that I'll always love you,
That you've never done me wrong,
That you're forgiven anyway,
That I want your smile to always stay.

If tomorrow never comes,
I thank the Lord for this chance,
To tell you all this today.

The End
