I would like to take this opportunity to thank all those who have taken the time to critique my first bulletin. I welcome their criticism as well as their congratulations. It is only by hearing both sides that one can truly improve. I would like to offer thanks to Lions Wayne, Ken and Allister for their support and items supplied. Special thanks goes to Lion Terry Heeney for forwarding to me his collection of past Lions Tales, I have found many interesting and amusing articles and photos which are still relevant today.

Lions and Leos participate in Sight Night. On Oct. 31 or trick-or=treat night in communities, volunteers from Lions and Leo Clubs, LensCrafters and other organizations across North America canvass their neighbourhoods to collect used eyeglasses.. It is an annual eyeglass collection project organized around Halloween.

The Dutton and District Lions Club was honoured in August with the presentation of the Howie Scott Visitation Award for Region 2 for the year 2000-2001. This award is in memory of Past District Governor Howie Scott from the Belmont Lions Club. Previous winners were:
