| Q. | What do we have to do to have a fundraiser for our troop other than the ones sponsored by Council? |
| A. | No fundraisers can be held during the United Way blackout period which is always published in the FYI. This year the blackout is August 15 - October 31 for Union 2. Troop leaders need to submit a Money Earning Activity Application to the attention of Janet Smith one month prior to any money earning activity other than the Fall Opportunity Sale or Cookie Sale. |
Q. When can cookie dough be used?
| A. | Cookie dough expires in December of the year it was issued. Cookie dough earned in 2002 will expion 12/15/2002. |

Troop Page for details. If you start at the beginning of the year,
it's pretty easy
to to meet all the qualifications. Most of the qualifications are
self-explanatory.
Number 7 which is to participate in an activity promoting pluralism
can be met by attending any event which addresses
differences in people such as
our District Thinking
Day Event or the Yipes Stripes programs sponsored by the
Hornets Nest Council
this year. Number 11 which is to participate in 1 activity to
make the community more aware of Girl Scouts
at a time of year other than Girl
Scout week can be met by anything that puts Girl
Scouts in the public eye such as
participating in
a Christmas parade or festival event of some type. Any other
