SCOUTING HEADLINES
Hornets Nest Girl Scout Council District: Union 2
The theme for this year is...
Hand in Hand! We hope to promote our we can work together to help others. This year it will be our goal to include at all district events some type of community service project.
Meeting Rules
These meeting rules will be listed in each and every monthly issue of "Scouting Headlines". If we all strive to follow these simple rules, we can all benefit and grow in our scouting experiences.
1. Meetings start on time
2. Hand out an agenda/minutes/notes.
3. One person has floor/speaks at a time.
4. Raise hand for floor recognition for comments or questions.
5. BE POSITIVE!
6. Leave gossip at the door!
Spanish Speaking Troop Leader NEEDED!
Judith M. says that she will not be returning as a leader this year. Council has offered her a position with them working with afterschool hispanic girls - and they don't allow staff to be leaders.
Judith registered her brownies and juniors for the new year, but has no one that is willing to be a leader. Most of these girls speak both English and Spanish -- but the parents speak only Spanish. It would be very hard to communicate with the parents if we don't have a Spanish fluent leader.
Any suggestions?

Que Pasas were mailed in July. If you did not receive, please contact Malinda B. so she can ensure your girls are on the mailing list.
