Tables

I never use em. So I really don't know too much about them. However, to make a simple table you need 3 opening/closing commands

<table> = starts the table

<tr> = put that in the start of the first row

<td> = the beginning of a cell

an example of a table in use is

blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah words text junk filler blurb cabbage words text junk filler blurb cabbage words text junk filler blurb cabbage kung pow enter the fist words text junk filler blurb cabbage words text junk filler blurb cabbage

or, expanding on this....

blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah words text junk filler blurb cabbage words text junk filler blurb cabbage words text junk filler blurb cabbage kung pow enter the fist words text junk filler blurb cabbage words text junk filler blurb cabbage

So, as you can see, it tables organize data.

if you want a border around your table, you can add one with the "border" tag. you would insert it into the "table" tag, like so

<table border> or, <table border=15> if you want to give the border some girth. the number is a variable and can be anything you want. Ending tag for that would still be </table> You can change the color of the table border with the "bordercolor" command. insert it in the table command after border. example:

<table border=5 bordercolor="blue">

speaking of colors... html knows 16 colors by name. silver, gray, maroon, green, navy, purple, olive, teal, white, black, red, lime, blue, magenta, yellow, cyan. OR you can input any color in the world, if you know hex color values for red-green-blue. there are charts all over the net. but basically, each color (red, green and blue) has 2 digits assigned to it, the number 0 is the darkest, and the letter f is the lightest. so, the scale from dark to light is read 0123456789abcdef. you can basically put a # sign, and 6 of any of those digits and get a color.

white is #ffffff and black is #000000

ummm oh yeah, here's how it looks in use with a border color tag.

<table border bordercolor="#1a15ff">

That should get you into tables enough to get by for a little while.

Last but not least: changing text and adding backgrounds
