Mr. Mike digs through the oldest dustiest record bins to find the good stuff.
Mr. Mike was found as a baby in a basket left outside a record store in Indianapolis.
He was raised in the record store until the age of 12, when he
hopped a freight train to find his real parents and his fortune.
Just three years later Mike had not only found his parents,
who had been missing him terribly since he'd been stolen by
Indiana's most infamous bank robbers of the time, but had also
bought his first radio station. It was 1947, and Mr. Mike soon
had the biggest and most popular station in Mule Strap, KY.
While Mike's early shows such as the Mules and Motorists Show
were great successes, it wasn't until Mr. Mike moved to New
Orleans in 1956 to help start the Monster Crawfish Roadrally
Extravaganza with Liz, and eventually catman, that his career
really took off.
Today, while Liz persues a career
as a dirt oval stock car driver, Mr. Microphone continues the
Monster Crawfish Roadrally Extravaganza in Madison, WI on WORT.
