Welcome to the Patria Regis Home Page. This page is dedicated to the Patria Regis UO shard using Sphere Server. Click on one of the links for the pertinent function or for additional functions of this page concerning the shard. If you are interested in joining the shard, click on "Application for Membership." However, before joining, one must be aware of the rules to be followed below.

Any questions/comments can be sent to the shard administrator and webmaster, Fyonsia Tarinius: GM_Fyonsia@hotmail.com

4/11/02: I (Gismari, who else?) spoke to Fyonsia the other day, and we discussed how forgotten Patria Regis has become. Fyonsia said that "it's a shame because I had big plans for it [Patria Regis]; I just don't have any time to keep it running."

12/23/01: The shard is down for the time being and will be so until further notice. I am aware that it's been down for a long while now. -Gismari

11/23/01: Fyonsia hasn't mentioned anything concerning Patria Regis in a while, so I (Gismari) am not certain of shard status. I am, however, playing around with graphics. The newest ones here are from Ultima Online Art Desktop.

Rules

As with any situation of this kind, it is important to have rules for gameplay in order to keep certain activities from getting out of hand and keep the theme of the shard intact and immune to peril. For this reason I have dictated a rules list, below. Of course, this list is not all inclusive and staff may, at any point, decide to punish a player for one activity or another at their discretion. Never fear, however, the staff are under certain rules themselves which include lack of prejudice and fair treatment of players.

  1. Roleplaying is key to this shard. Any player caught blatantly not role-playing or partaking in any D00dz-type activities will be kicked and banned immediately.
  2. In order to help with rule number one, out of character comments will be kept to a bare minimum. Please make all comments in external messaging programs or, if you absolutely must say something out of character in game, please note it as OOC and do it with as few other players around as possible. Of course, many staff-oriented questions and answers will have to be out of character, situations such as these are exempt to this rule.
  3. Guild membership is mandatory. There are many different varieties of guilds and, of course, all of these varieties are dynamic and at the discretion of the guild's members. When you begin an account, you may want to contact a staff member to help you find the guild that is right for you.
  4. There will be only one character per account. This is to keep many different problems that arise from multiple characters, including smurfing and spying on other guilds, to a minimum. Accounts will be periodically checked. If multiple characters are found, they will be deleted and the primary character (as is deemed by the staff member doing the checking) will be killed.
  5. External programs which integrate with UO are banned for players (this includes macro programs and external mappers). Characters which seem to be exhibiting signs of use of these programs will be killed or otherwise punished (this might mean skill or stat loss to below original levels). Of course, exploitation of bugs is also forbidden. Any characters seen to be exploiting bugs will be duly punished.
  6. Please try to contribute to a helpful gaming atmosphere. Do not give newbies a hard time or inhibit their progress in any way. PKing is allowed but it must be within reason (guild wars are one of the only good reasons). Staff members are not shy about summoning guards to an area where a murderer is, so be warned.
  7. More rules will be added as the need for them develops.
